Chad Bowman Scholarship Drive

Friends and Auburn Alumni gather together to honor Chad Bowman, College of Architecture, Design & Construction, Auburn Class of 1995.

In October 2006, our friend Chad was diagnosed with ALS, Lou Gehrig’s Disease. A short 6 months later, on April 2, 2007 Chad passed away. Chad was a special individual who touched many people’s lives in his short 34 years and during his courageous battle with ALS.

In honor of Chad we had held golf tournaments in 2007, 2008 and 2009. For the 2009 event, Auburn agreed to establish a scholarship in Chad’s name for the Auburn College of Architecture, Design and Construction. Chad’s friends were generous, however, we fell short of the full scholarship funding. Unfortunately, in 2010 the impact of a bad economy would not allow the event to be held to continue donations.
